Improve your observation skills and your clay modelling techniques on this intensive and exciting weekend course. The course is designed for those who wish to try their hand at something new, as well as experienced sculptors who want a challenge and some valuable time with experienced models in a large artist’s studio. Sculpting from life looks at mass, form, and structure, and considers the feelings conveyed by both artist and model; all of which go into producing a piece of work that captures both the model’s and your embodied energy. During the course, Elisabeth will give demonstrations and advice on mounting and finishing techniques. You will work directly from the model over the weekend and be given the opportunity to understand the texture and versatility of the clay. FOOD AND DRINK On this course, lunch will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. These communal meals are a vital part of the learning experience and we strongly recommend you attend them. Tea and coffee will be available throughout the course. To find out more please visit our website.
