Join us at the beautiful, Pitfield Barn Cut Flower Farm for a day learning how to design and carve your own linocuts and creating your own Christmas stationery from your designs. We begin with an introduction to linocut – how to use the carving tools and basic cutting techniques. At first, you will make your own small practice block to learn the techniques. You will be shown how to ink your lino block and burnish prints by hand. Then a break for a tasty lunch. Once confident with the techniques, you will design your own A6 Block, taking inspiration from the gardens, resource materials or your own images. Everyone will take home several completed images.
