Silver Metal clay is a unique material that is opening up many possibilities for designers and crafters. It requires fewer tools and set-up, which makes jewellery making more accessible to those who can not afford the costs of set up and/or the space. This course is for those with interest in the material who would like to further their skills and learn how to incorporate gemstones in their designs. We will cover the basics along the way but will be focusing on setting different shaped faceted stones in silver clay and how to fire it. We will also discuss issues with fancy shapes, cabochons and how to set stones that can not be fired. We will touch on the possible ways to incorporate beach glass and ceramics.
