Group size: 6 people. You can book as a group or as an individual. The day: • Start 09:45 for 10.00am start, drawing designs and carving lino plates • 13:00-14:00 Lunch break • 14:00- 16:00 Inking up We will start by preparing an image ready to be transferred onto lino, then you will cut your lino design. Please bring your own imagery if you have something specific in mind, or select from a range of starting points which will be available. You will have an opportunity to prepare and experiment with a range of surfaces and coloured papers to print your lino design onto. We usually prepare and cut in the morning and then spend the afternoon printing. The aim is that you will take home new skills you can continue at home with the minimum of equipment. What's included in the price? What you need to bring: - Please bring a packed lunch or there are local cafés/supermarkets within a 5-minute walk - If you have a particular theme or image you would like to work from please bring it along – your own drawings, photographs or magazine cuttings are all good source materials – but don’t worry if you haven’t got anything – there will be imagery to choose from. - Please wear clothes that you don’t mind getting messy
What's included in the price
- The workshop will take place in a light-filled, open workshop next to the main gallery space. - All materials and equipment will be provided, including aprons. - There will be coffee/tea and biscuits available in the morning, and afternoon tea and cake. Please let me know of any special dietary requirements.
