Mel will guide left-handed students, whilst Jennie will work with those who are right-handed – at a steady pace, adjusted to suit everyone’s individual needs.

Learn how to read a written pattern and diagram, the names of stitches, how to change colour and create beautiful crochet.

Proven to be an excellent meditative, calming craft, crochet is deliciously addictive!

    Mosaic Making in the Cotswolds

    Situated in the beautiful Cotswold market town of Lechlade-on-Thames, maker and creator Jennie Turner-Maskell invites you for a fun and fabulous day learning the art of mosaic making.

    Jennie has been a maker and craft tutor for many years and can often be seen teaching at national events and on selected cruise lines.

    This workshop is ideal for beginners and curious crafters; enjoy a relaxed and fun-filled workshop with step-by-step guidance, in a small group.

    Learn how to work with vintage china, mosaic tiles, glass and ceramic shapes to create a design on an MDF base. With a large selection of materials to choose from, you will have plenty of inspiration for your design.

    Choose from a variety of base shapes, including birds, houses, butterflies, hearts and more. The afternoon will be spent learning how to grout and finish your piece.

    The day starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm, please aim to arrive around 9.45am for a prompt start.

    Please bring a packed lunch and an apron; tea, coffee, cold drinks and biscuits are provided. Gluten-free options always available.

    Suitable for ages 12+ – children 16 & under must be accompanied by a participating adult.

    Needle Felted Summer Scene

    Dive into a wonderful woodland with this Summer needle felting workshop led by artist Cath Smith of Hedgehog and Hoot.

    Make a beautiful landscape on a pre-carded background, using basic needle felting techniques. Your picture will be ready to gift or display!

    – Learn how to safely and effectively use both a multi needle felting tool and a single needle.
    – How to lay down a wool/fibre background.
    – How to add details to personalise and add interest to a landscape.
    Stitch work or beads can be added to embellish your picture further.

    Your piece can be displayed as a picture, used to make a book cover or an embellishment for another project.

    Due to the “Ready to Go!” background, this is suitable for all abilities.

    Suitable for ages 10+. Children 16 & under must be accompanied by a participating adult.
