Jewellery Summer School - 5 day intensive course (10 - 4 pm each day) This course is suitable for beginners and is jam packed with techniques and projects. Starting with using copper, you will learn basic techniques such as how to anneal metal, filing, forming, cutting metal with a piercing saw, adding texture and soldering. You will then have the chance to undertake several projects including making a bezel set ring or halo pendant (either gemstone, glass cabochon or sea glass). We will also make a spinner ring and hopefully should have time to do some enamelled copper jewellery. If you have prior knowledge of jewellery making then you can use the time within the first couple of days for either a refresher or to make items of your choice (Copper will be supplied for test pieces, however if you have a design in mind to make in silver then please purchase your own silver prior to attending). Please bring a packed lunch, or food can be bought from the on-site café.
