    Fleece to Fabric Workshop

Learn to turn raw wool into fabric with this in depth workshop. We will cover the three stages of fleece processing: Carding, Spinning and Weaving. We will begin by briefly covering how to skirt and pick wool. Then we will get our hands stuck in with carding the wool with hand carders, trying and feeling different breeds of British wool. Next, you will have a go at the ancient craft of spinning yarn, on a drop spindle. Allowing you to get a feel for the fibres and how they behave. Lastly we will take our spun yarn and weave with it on frame looms, to take a sample piece of your very own handcrafted fabric home with you.
