How to Sew a French Mattress Cushion

£180.00

French mattress cushions are a stylish way of creating a bench seat cushion or base for a day bed. They are made with a combination of machine stitching and hand stitching to create their distinctive crimped edges. They are fun to make and look fabulous!

The aim of this two-day class is to create a mattress cushion from scratch. You can choose the size of your finished cushion up to a pad size of 60cm x 60cm. We can provide all materials to make your cushion.

This class is suitable for anyone who is able to use a sewing machine and hand stitch. If you are unsure whether you have these skills, why not sign up to our introductory class “How to get the best from your sewing machine”.

All our classes at Pretty Sitting are designed to give students professional standard teaching in small groups. So, places are always limited, but we run a programme of classes throughout the year, and hopefully you can find dates that suit.

Please bring a packed lunch with you. We have a small kitchen/dining facility within the workshop where you can use a fridge, microwave and kettle. Alternatively, there are a number of food shops and eateries locally in the Gorge or in the village centre.
