Welcome to my glorious Glass classes. I am really passionate about introducing people to the fun of glass design and believe that art has the ability to inspire and transform lives, and tell people's story. I am a creative glass explorer, tutor and community artist, I have a BSc in Textile Design, a PGCE and trained at Sunderland Glass Centre. The projects are fully portable to your premises. This workshop covers the glass design techniques, of pen work with enamels, stencilling, millefiori and confetti/frit to create images. Your glass will be fired and then shaped in the kiln. No experience is necessary; all materials will be provided, and your glass will be fired and returned to the center for collection later. I have a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 5, and accept children above the age of 8 at a reduced rate. The studio where the workshop is run is my colleague, Louise's at Articentric, 1 Dundas Street West, Saltburn by the Sea, Co Durham, TS12 1BL. There is free parking outside the shop, which is located parallel to the train station. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching classes for a number of years and must warn you, that it is addictive. I have been successfully commissioned to procure Arts Council and other grant funding, to design, create and project manage a 6-month community arts event, projects with prisoners, homeless/disabled/addicts and programs with schools. “A relaxing, and thoroughly enjoyable session with you, many thanks”.
