Designed for the complete beginner, learn basic woodwork; how to use different tools and gain the skills needed for necessary household DIY including: Hanging shelves, repairing cupboard doors, flat pack furniture, using battery tools.

All safety equipment is provided but wear clothes suitable for being in a workshop.

    Build a practical wooden serving tray using basic power tools. Learn design, layout, cutting and jointing.

    You will cut materials to size from the drawing and using the power mitre saw create mitre joints. You will use the router table and templates to create the tray ends and create grooves for the tray bottom and glue and assemble the project ready for staining or painting.

    This course is aimed at the homeowner who would like to build their home maintenance, repair and home renovating skills. During this one day course, you will learn the following:

    Replacing a door (hanging the door, replacing hinges, installing door hardware-handle & lock)
