This course is aimed at beginner silversmiths. Giving you an insight into the of traditional techniques of Silversmithing covering raising, forging, forming and fabricating.
Over the 8 weeks, you will focus on three different projects. The first project, you will learn how to fabricate a spoon from two pieces of metal. The second project will be raising a small bowl and learning about the planishing finishing technique. The third project will be focused on forging, here we will make a spoon again, although this will be in a different style and made from one piece of metal.
If you wanted to further your knowledge and skill set, you can book onto a further 8 weeks after the initial course. On this second block, you will learn about box making and seamed raising to make a small jug.
2PM - 5:30PM or 6:30 PM - 9 PM

All material will be supplied by The Silver Duck. You will be able to keep everything you make during the course. Any photographs taken can be sent to you for your own personal use.
