    Coptic Book Binding

Learn how to make a fabulous and funky, A5 size, recycled rubber covered journal or sketchbook using one of the oldest types of bookbinding stitches – the coptic stitch.

This style of stitch allows you to construct a book which opens out completely flat and is great for sketching and writing in and when it is closed you see the linen stitch on the spine.

The durable rubber cover makes a practical sketchbook, personalised with your own contrasting linen stitch (colour choices will be given before the workshop as materials are sourced). All tools are provided for use on the day and materials are included to make one A5 book to take home and treasure. There is the option on the day to purchase tools to take home and continue crafting!
